The 5th annual Nastia Liukin Cup was held at Greenboro (N.C.) Coliseum on February 28, 2014. Gymnasts are chosen to compete from a series of invitationals. The Senior All-Around 2014 Champion was Mackenzie Brannan and McKenna Kelley. The Junior All-Around 2014 Champion was Rachael Flam and Lauren Ramirez.
The American Cup has a long history, starting in 1976. This competition showcasing the world's best gymnasts was not always sponsored by at&t. The past sponsors were Dial, McDonald's, Visa, and Tyson. 2014 All-Around Men's Champion was Sam Mikulak. The 2014 All-Around Women's Champion was Elizabeth Price. Both gymnast represented the USA!
The Secret U.S. Classic is the final qualifying event for women to participate in the P&G Gymnastics Championship. Fans are excited to tune in on August 2, 2014 to watch their favorite gymnast compete for the final spot. Last years senior All-Around Champion was Olympic team gold medalist, Kyla Ross. The junior All-Around Champion was Bailie Key.
The Gymnastics Championships were first held in 1986. Many companies sponsor this event. The P&G Gymnastics Championship has changed its name through the years. Some old titles are Coca-Cola National Championships, John Hancock U.S. Gymnastics Championships, Phar-Mor U.S. Gymnastics Championships, and Visa Championships.
